This the very first post of me on this diary. But still feel sorry to something need to be complained. That is why you guys added extra words “province of China” after Taiwan in the list for setting users country. That is completely unreal and offensive to a country and people belonging to the country which has their own sovereignty without any doubt all along. If someone just misplanted the list from other place, I really hope that can be revised in the near future.
The story is about a family has two twins took their time machine and traveled several thousands years back to search some, by now, extinct animals. There are tens of episodes in the series of this book. Here I’m writing about is the episode for woolly mammoth.
The story is began at the moment that this family had searched woolly mammoth for three days; however, they didn’t ever think about giving up. Not until did they climb up to another hill with their skis, they spotted a great herd of woolly mammoth busy eating grass. Mammoth have heavy feathers, so that they didn’t die from the freezing cold in Ice Age. The long and pointed tusks at each side of their head can shovel the thick snow off the ground revealing the grass beneath to eat. The most amazing part of its trunk different from elephants we are familiar with today is the flaps at each side, one third of the way down the trunk. This pair of flaps’ shape are just like cobra’s hood. With regard to its function, mittens is the most suitable thing to be compared with in both shape and function way. Yes, its shape is just like mittens and it’s also able to warm the tip of trunk from being froze. Once they feel thirsty, they will pick up a piece of snow ball by their trunk, put it into those mittens warming up, and spouted out the melted water into herself mouth.
Although those delicate organs that mammoth has help them to survive a extreme weather, mammoths have been extinct for 4000 years. The ever most helpful feather coat now, became a fatal drawback when the weather became warmer and warmer on earth. Their curly tusks as well as mitten shaped flaps go useless, too. Before human appeared in their habitation, the amount of mammoth has decreased dramatically, not to mention the inevitable competitions after human being rose. At the same time, human know how to keep warm with feather coat when it’s freezing cold, take off the coat when it’s hot. Thanks to the intelligent brain and the agile fingers and arms, human can cooperate its to create anything they learned from their life experiences or knowledge gave from others. It ends up almost everywhere on earth can see humans activities.
Nowadays, populations of people grows fast, Humans competitors are not limited in other animals any longer. Human face the fact that they should compete with others who have the same smart brain and agile arms and fingers as you. It’s truly a new era for people, animals and earth. Definitely, people with advantageous position will not ‘kill’ the people have lower advantage; however, there is another version of massacre happened in our everyday life, deficient and resourceful, famine and wasting food, ill and healthy, missing schooled and well educated. The competition has escalated from physical objects to abstract abilities of a human. I don’t want to put a conclusion about how to be competitive in the world, it’s complex and I’m not good at that too. Only one thing do I want to do is to leverage the story about woolly mammoth, the creatures ever widespread on earth ends up with extinction because they can not change their shape and learn things with time. If you don’t learn things and keep an open-minded attitude with time, it’s dangerous. God give us mercy that we all have the same abilities at the beginning. We should treasure that and don’t let it sunk.
This diary is about to remind me keep learning new things and understand others thought and situations so I will not be extinct in the near future. We all have the ability to change ourselves if you want. Don’t forget giving is also a way to learn. We have more advantages than woolly mammoths, so we have more duties than woolly mammoths not just make a living in the world but help others live better by giving knowledge, thought, resources and help.
