Having your childhood dream is one of the most precious moment in your life. Can you remember those days when you were so inspired and hopeful that one day, those dreams will come to life?
Well, we have different cases in reality. Some were able to achieve their childhood dreams but some were taken to a path which is far different from what they used to like.
If you want to be a singer or a doctor, Should you act like one, the moment you learn to walk, talk, write and read? When should you really start the first step in reaching your dreams?
The moment I had my freedom to decide on my own, that day where I don’t need anyone’s permission anymore, I told myself that I would take every step in achieving my goals. That finally, the long wait is over! This is the time where I can pursue my dreams.
My journey took me far away from my childhood dream. Far enough that I can’t even see it even if I look back. All I know is that, If I want something, I would make it possible no matter what. That keeps me going on dreaming. Turning those ideas day and night into reality.
Whenever I am able to do that, I feel like I’m living my dream. However, I had so many dreams. Achieving one after another, I realized that there’s still something missing. I asked myself, “If those things I’ve worked hard for were my dreams, why am I still searching for more?”.
Until I realized that, I never reached my dream yet. That those achievements were part of my journey and an ingredient to my brewing life. But I have no regret in any part of it. I know that it prepared me enough to face the real challenge of my long prolonged dream.
So if you will ask me when is the best time to pursue your dream? I would say that THERE IS NO BEST TIME BECAUSE ALL THE TIME YOU SPEND ON PURSUING YOUR DREAMS IS EQUAL TO THE MOMENT YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE.
Cherish all those times you had, may it resulted to success or failure. You don’t have to pick a time like an alarm for your To Do List. Your dream will be your daily motivation and everyday is an opening door that leads you to the gate of your dreams.
