Realistically Unrealistic

There is a thin line between being in reality and being crazy in love

People assume that love comes along with all the good things that life can bring

All the colors of the rainbow and add ons

Ideally

Yes

“Ideally”

That is the problem

We always think of how love should be perfect

Like it makes no mistakes

Like it wouldn’t break hearts

Like it could understand all things

Like it would be willing to embrace all

But honey

To tell you

Love doesn’t always come with bright colors

It mostly comes with the bad days

The fights

The misunderstandings

The collision of two individuals

Of two properties

We are like magnets

Both have a positive and a negative side

We might never always cross as opposite

(Thus attract)

Can’t always promise that I can understand your mood swings

Your “unreasonable bipolarity”

I can’t always promise to be clingy

Can’t promise to hold you everyday

To hug you

And let our fingers intertwine

We might never always agree on each other’s side

I can’t promise to always come along

I have my rationale

And you have yours

Darling,

Truth is we are this

But that doesn’t make it any less

For we might struggle everyday

In finding the perfect piece to complete

Our daaay-by-daaaay puzzle

But during the process

I’ll always choose to do it with you

I’ll always choose you

My baby
