Two Faces of You

You shall be an existential dichotomy

You are the beginning and of an end

If life would be too short

Let thy be in your world

You shall be Dopamine

You know how to excite and inhibit

With the uncertainty you gave a glimpse

A picture of euphoria and melancholy

You shall be both a drug and med

You are permitted and forbidden

With you of ample dosage

I shall confess being a junkie

You shall be my version of Mona Lisa

You are the apple of my eye

I wanted the world to know you

May I whisper, you are a masterpiece

You are more than the thoughts I let run into my mind

You are more than the hormones I let my system be influenced of

You are more than the canvas I can picture you in

You are more than the scratches of poems I can describe you with

You are more than these combined

May I entreat deaf heaven for your presence

Ask to lend me thy comforting arms so you would choose to rest

May I request for a sudden moment where nothing else matters

For you are what matters the most

I write based on experience. If you have read my poems then you have seen me naked.
