BSA. The acronym which stands for “Bachelor of Science in Accountancy”. BSA is one of the regulated programs offered in college; and it has been aimed by a lot of Accountant and CPA aspirants, alike.
Applicants of the BSA program in various universities and colleges have drastically increased in the last few years. If one conducted a survey among senior highschool students (especially those enrolled in the ABM Academic strand) regarding what program they would be taking up in college, chances are, majority of them would end up saying either “Accounting” or “BSA”. Although they might have different reasons for pursuing such a career, I personally think they are misunderstanding a couple of things.
Number one: Balance.
BSA students are either fond of that concept or tired of it. Whichever the case, BSA students know not only how to balance their debits and credits, but also how to manage their time with academics, and their social and personal lives.
Number two: Multitasking.
BSA students usually end up with literally a whole lot of things to study and do, but they still can get all those done within the deadline. The secret? Do everything that can be done, all at the same time.
Number three: Love.
BSA students understand the complexities that accompany the path they have chosen to pursue; which is also why they know how to love their job, despite the hardships and sacrifices they have experienced. They continue to love, even if it has caused them so much pain.
BSA students are determined individuals who have their eyes set on one goal; and that is to either be an accountant or to have the “CPA” title after their names. BSA students endure so much pressure, but that won’t stop them from achieving their dreams. BSA students are epitomes of hardwork, as well as patience; and I am a BSA student.
