This is actually my first time to celebrate Christmas away from my family at hindi lang yun, This is the first time I will celebrate Christmas with a broken family. I thought my 2016 Christmas celebration was already the worst and will be the last painful one because we lost everything and we absolutely have nothing but our faith and love for our loved ones. My 2017 Christmas celebration was not as tragic as last year because so many things happened for just a couple of months. I met so many new friends, I finally tried working on my own but still, the problem from the past is there. This Christmas Eve, we still have nothing but HOPE, FAITH and LOVE. We celebrated this momentous event with a very limited budget. (pang-kain lang actually, hehe.)But as we passed by the streets, I realized how blessed are we that at least, we have the chance to see wonderful lights, hear joyous songs and take photos with the beautiful surroundings which reminded us that “It’s Christmas!”. I told my mimow, “We’re still very lucky to experience this despite of having nothing but a budgeted baht (thai money), while there are still some people who don’t even have food to share with or lights to see and brighten up their night. I also told him that “I just want to enjoy the night and be thankful for everything that we have. For sure, we can find a way to be happy without spending too much and we did!”.
From the church, we just walked going to Siam Paragon and that’s about 2 stations from where we are (Phloen Chit–>Chit Lom–>Siam). Along the road, we saw so many beautiful things and places and we had fun taking photos with it <3!
We even go inside 2 different malls before heading to Siam Paragon hehe… (for the sake of picture taking and free cold air.)
Went inside a park with free amazing scenery of lights 🙂
and Finally, roam around Siam Paragon just to have our Christmas Eve photoshoot 🙂 (kaaliw lang talaga ang designs sa paligid!)
After feeding our eyes and hearts <3, we went back for our most awaited dinner in BEST BEEF (near Onnut Station). Since our first arrival in Bangkok we were already curious in this resto because we can see it from above every time we use BTS (Bangkok’s version of LRT), and it’s always full of people plus its attractive signage “BEST BEEF” and we promised to each other that we will eat here someday and we did! Plus, it’s a bonus that it only costs 239 baht (Php 360) for a BUFFET!!! and not just that, it’s a very good experience to eat the food fresh from fire because you will cook / grill your own choices.
Take note: It’s not just all about beef and meats (naguumapaw din ng seafoooodd) and everything was served fresh and with 100% good quality. I never enjoyed buffet as much as I did in here <3
Choices: pork, beef, liver, scallops, prawns, squid, varieties of side dish and many more. >Extra points for their yummy sauces :))<
This is a must try BUFFET restaurant and this really completed our CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATION!
Unexpected happiness is one of the best! Sometimes, that “Happiness is a Choice” motto really does apply especially when you are in your darkest moments 🙂
