I have loved you with all my heart
maybe not the way you expected me to
but please believe in me
that I’ve loved you unconditionally

I’ve waited for you to recognize me
the way that I should be
I didn’t just want to share the darkness
instead, I want to share everything with you

The laughter, adventure, memories
may it be good or bad
you were once my everything
the only one I can cry and laugh with

It somehow hurts me to realize
how important you are to me
only after a couple of years
when I unexpectedly saw you again

It may just be a useless feeling
but your eyes told me everything
how hurt you were
how hard you were trying

I want you to be happy
and if that means staying away from me
and forgetting everything about us
maybe it’s really time to leave it all in the past
